DeVry University Accreditation
DeVry University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (NCA) and is thereby eligible to participate in US Department of Education Title IV Student Loan Programs. The University’s Keller Graduate School of Management is included in this accreditation.
DeVry Chicago first opened in 1931 as the DeForest Training School. Since that time, the school has undergone a number of name changes. In 1966 a controlling share was acquired by the Education Group of Bell and Howell. They sold their share to the Keller Graduate School of Management in 1987. In February 2002, DeVry Institutes and Keller Graduate School of Management became DeVry University, following the approval of The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Federal, state, local and DeVry payment plans provide options to help finance your education. DeVry also offers its own installment payment plan for students, EDUCARD®. Federal grants provide money to help undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional need to pay for their education. Students may be eligible for Federal grants if they have not already earned a bachelor’s degree. Recipients of state grants are typically required to attend an institution within their home state and to have resided within that state for a period of time. DeVry participates in programs with the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
DeVry offers millions of dollars in scholarships every year as another form of student financial aid. In the US and Canada, DeVry offers scholarships to new students who meet specified criteria. For scholarship consideration, students are encouraged to apply for admission as soon as possible. DeVry’s $75 million scholarship program consists of awards ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 per semester. Graduating high school seniors and community college students may apply for scholarships during the admissions process.
