According to BLS, average cost of college tuition and books rose almost twice as fast as the salaries for the graduates between the period of 1976 and 2016. This means that higher education today is much less affordable than it was 30 years ago.

Going to college offers huge benefits for your future. Here are some interesting facts about college graduates in United States. According to BLS  students who obtain at least a Bachelors Degree, see an increase in their median weekly earning, from $678 per week to $1137 per week (increase of 67%).

There is only 2,8% of unemployment among college graduates, compared to 8% with someone without high school diploma. You will be also much more likely to be offered health insurance by your employer compared to those with high school education or less (75% vs 53%). Afterall, the competion among your peers is getting tougher and according to NCES, today more than 34% of Americans have at least a Bachelors Degree or higher.
